Fair, Inclusive and Equitable Hiring Practices Initiative Update (For Information)
The Waterloo Region District School Board believes that committing the principles of equity, inclusion and diversity makes us stronger. Human Resource Services believes that a commitment to these values ought to be reflected in fair, inclusive and equitable hiring practices.

Over the next two years, a three-phase plan will unfold across the system, led by a steering team of system leaders. This plan will follow five action-based commitments.

A draft document (Moving Forward: Building and Inclusive Workforce) has been shared broadly, and will be released to administrators, and the system, at an upcoming System Leaders’ Meeting.

For more information on this initiative, please reference the report.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:40pm
