The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) for grade 10 students that was to be written today will be re-scheduled for a date in May. It will not be administered on Friday, April 12.

Schools will advise their students once the May date is finalized by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).

Tomorrow (Friday, April 12), we expect all schools to be open  for regular instructional day.

About the OSSLT – from https://www.eqao.com/Students/students.aspx?Lang=E

In Grade 10, students take the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, which measures whether or not they are meeting the minimum standard for literacy across all subjects up to the end of Grade 9.

Successful completion of the literacy test is one of the 32 requirements students must meet to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. The secondary school literacy requirement is described in the Ministry of Education’s Ontario Schools, Kindergarten to Grade 12: Policy and Program Requirements, 2011.
