For the first time in 3 years, Preston High School (PHS) put on a main-stage production of Alice in Wonderland! The show ran for three nights and was well attended by students, staff, family, friends, and community supporters.

Preston’s own student actors took to the stage, some for the first time, and knocked the performance ‘out the school!’ Sadie Snip was Alice, Kolton Sopha was the Mad Hatter, along with Josh Hinrichs as Dweedle Dum and Michael Cohn as Tweedle Dee who were among the team of those involved in putting the show together. Many other students helped in making the Alice in Wonderland performance a big success, from designing the promotional materials, setting up the gymnasium seating and stage, to designing and making the actor’s costumes. The play would not have been such a success, if it were not for the help and collaboration of everyone involved.

A huge thank you to the dedicated PHS staff who oversaw and directed the show! Kristen Wilson, PHS Drama teacher, along with a team of staff and student volunteers including English / Drama teacher Oriana Benevides, French teacher Jillian Leclair, and music teacher Johanna McCabe, expected Alice to showcase the school’s talent and invigorate a passion for the arts in students both attending PHS and in those who are destined to walk through their school doors and take the stage in the future.
