The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is an approved Provider of Additional Qualification (AQ) courses for certified members of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).

Additional Qualification (AQ) Courses

AQ courses have been an essential part of Teacher professional development for many years and remain a critical component in elevating teacher practice as they support teachers within the cycle of continuous improvement as outlined in the OCT Professional Standards of Practice.

AQ courses enable educators to enhance their knowledge, expertise and skills in a specific subject or focus area, or to develop knowledge in new subjects or focus areas.

Who Can Register for an AQ Course?

Any teacher in Ontario who is certified and in good standing with the OCT is eligible to apply to take an AQ course.
