The Extended Day Program is a subsidy-eligible program, which is managed by the Region of Waterloo.

Parents, families and caregivers who may require financial support to help cover the cost of Before and After School Programs can apply for child care fee assistance through the Region of Waterloo. The Region is responsible for reviewing applications, determining eligibility, and approving support.

Eligibility is based on a family’s income and child care needs and must be applied for separately.

  • Estimate Your Eligibility: Use the Child Care Subsidy Calculator.
  • Apply Up to 6 Months in Advance: If you apply too early, you may need to reapply closer to your child’s start date.
