Parents and students had a wonderful evening of learning and laughing at Lackner Woods Public School‘s Family Reading Night! What made the night even more fun, was having two very special guests join: Waterloo Regional Police Service Police Chief Bryan Larkin and Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic.

The gymnasium was decorated with posters made by each classroom, where students shared the name of their favourite book. Throughout the evening, families had a chance to visit various activity stations, such as the Kitchener Public Library (KPL) booth, a reading corner, and sit for a special reading of two favourite stories chosen by the Chief and Mayor.

Students were delighted to greet the guests, have photos taken, and even leave with an autograph!
