The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) Strategic Plan Community Consultation Town Hall Meetings aims to consult students, parents, families, caregivers and community members on the current WRDSB Multi-Year Strategic Plan, which was developed in 2022.
The goal of the Town Hall Meetings is to gather information on how we can continue to improve our efforts to support the educational needs of students in the WRDSB. Members of the team at Overlap Associates, a local strategy firm, will facilitate the Town Hall Meetings, which will provide multiple methods for sharing feedback and anonymous reflections in an open house style format.
The information provided through the Town Hall Meetings will provide direction for the WRDSB as we continue to strive for improved student achievement and well-being.

Virtual Town Hall Meeting Etiquette and Expectations
The WRDSB and Overlap Associates are committed to providing a constructive and respectful environment for the Virtual Town Hall Meeting. By attending the session, you are agreeing to follow these Shared Principles for Participation:
- Stay connected to purpose.
- This session is about gathering input on the WRDSB Strategic Plan.
- Focus on ideas, not individuals.
- Please keep feedback focused on the plan, the directions, and the system. We ask that participants not offer feedback about specific staff, students, or other participants
- Create space for many voices.
- A speaking time limit may be in place to allow all participants an opportunity to contribute.
- Respect people, not just opinions.
- Diverse perspectives are welcome. Disrespectful or discriminatory language or behaviour will not be tolerated.
The session will be facilitated. The role of the facilitator is to hold space for constructive, respectful dialogue. The facilitator may pause, redirect, or remove participants if they are not following the above principles.
There will be multiple ways to provide input into the conversation, verbally, through the Zoom Chat, and we will use a polling platform called MentiMeter to support our conversation.
