JF Carmichael Public School will be closed on Monday, November 8. This includes the school day, Extended Day and Youth Development programs. Please monitor the school website for updates.

Today, our school experienced flooding in a number of classrooms. Facility Services and contractors have been at the school throughout the day on Sunday, and are working as quickly as possible to address the situation. While they complete this work, the school will be closed to students and staff. Staff will continue to evaluate the situation and provide updates as they become available with a goal of opening the school safely and as quickly as possible.

Student learning will continue. Teachers will teach asynchronously from home and will be available to students during the regular school day hours on their Google Classrooms. Students are invited to participate as they are able.

Chromebooks will be available to families who do not have a device in their household. Office staff will be at the school on Monday to assist with the deployment of Chromebooks.

Additional online resources will also be available via WRDSB@Home.
