The Waterloo Region District School Board is making a change in Secondary home school assignments for families living in the Rosenberg II Development Area.
Students living in this area are currently directed to Southwood Secondary School in Cambridge for grades 9-12. Starting in September 2025, current Grade 8 students will be directed to Forest Heights Collegiate Institute (255 Fischer-Hallman Rd., Kitchener).
Note: No changes will occur prior to September 2025.

December 9, 2024: Annual Development Area Report to Committee of the Whole – Recommendations approved in principle
December 16, 2024: Final decision on Annual Development Area Report (Ratified)
December 17, 2024 (Tentative): Communication with families regarding the decision
September 2025: New school boundaries take effect, if approved
