Parents with a Study Permit

If you are an International Student in Waterloo Region with children accompanying you, your children may be eligible as fee-exempt students. Please read Immigration Status Requirements for International Families.

In this case we will admit your child(ren) based on the primary permit holder, which in this case would be the Study Permit. 

Parents with a Post-Graduate or other Open Work Permit

If your Open Work Permit is your family’s primary immigration document, then your children are eligible to apply as fee-exempt students based on this Open Work Permit. This is typically the case for parents with a Post-Graduate Work Permit.
