• Waterloo Region is a fast-growing region and our student enrolment is on the rise. As a result, we need staff for all our employee groups!
• Our region is home to Head Offices of large insurance companies such as Manulife, Sunlife, Economical life and OTIP.
• Waterloo Region is home to two universities and one college: University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier as well as Conestoga College.
• The arts are celebrated in the region at the Centre in the Square, several museums and at the Kitchener Auditorium which is home for our Rangers hockey team.
• Waterloo Region has expanded public transit to include our new Light Rail system called the ION.
• Waterloo Region celebrates diversity. Waterloo Region has the 5th highest per capita immigrant population of all Canadian urban areas.
• Waterloo Region celebrates other cultures. For over 40 years Waterloo Region has hosted the KW Multicultural festival. Our restaurants, small businesses and stores are owned and operated by families of a variety of different cultures.
• Waterloo Region’s culture of innovation creates diversity. Waterloo Region is consistently named as one of the top Intelligent Communities and is home to over 1000 tech companies, which includes world-renowned companies such as Google.
