- Secondary Teachers – one Intermediate and Senior Qualification and one other additional qualification at the Senior level in a different subject area. Candidates qualified in Technical Studies require just one Intermediate and Senior Qualification.
- Elementary Teachers – It is preferred that candidates have the following qualifications: Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate. Candidates with only Intermediate qualification or Intermediate/Senior qualifications will be eligible to apply and interview for the position. If successful, these candidates will be offered a spot on the OT Roster after providing evidence of registration in a course to complete Junior divisional qualifications.
- Early Childhood Educators must be certified and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Current certification in Standard First and CPR Level C is also required.
- Educational Assistants (EA) – The following qualifications are accepted for the role of EA in our board: certified teachers, Educational Assistant Diploma or Educational Support Diploma, Developmental Services Worker, Bachelor of Social Work, Social Services Diploma.
- Child and Youth Workers – The following qualifications are accepted for the role of CYW in our board: Child and Youth Worker Diploma, Social Services Diploma, Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care Certificate, Bachelor of Social Work or Masters of Social Work.
- Support Staff – Candidates interested in working as school secretaries, library clerks or within IT, Finance, HR, etc. should review the job posting information for details about qualifications
