Will the school board allow parents to change their minds before school starts in September?

No. The deadline to select Remote Learning has passed.

Will French Immersion be offered in the Elementary Remote Learning School?

Yes. The Elementary Remote Learning School (ERLS) will offer our Full Day Kindergarten program, the English Program, Core French and French Immersion.

What programs will be offered through the Secondary Remote Learning Programs?

WRDSB’s Secondary Remote Learning Program (SRLP) will offer a limited selection of courses in all program pathways. Secondary ESL/ELD program with fewer course options.

The SRLP will not include access to Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM), French Immersion, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and Integrated Arts Program (IAP).

Will students who register in Remote Learning have the option to participate in co-curricular activities?

Yes. Students registered in Remote Learning will be “shared” with the Remote Learning Program but will continue to be attached to their home school and will be eligible to participate in co-curricular activities and sports offered at their home schools. Students who graduate from the Remote Learning Program in June 2022, will be considered graduates of their home school and will participate in home school graduation activities.
