Tuesday, Sept 6th will be a “tech check” day for all students in the SRLP to ensure they can access their courses and log into the Brightspace environment. Teachers will be available to help students troubleshoot.
On the morning of Wednesday, September 7, all SRLP teachers will be online to welcome students. Instructions for the first virtual meet for the course will be posted by the teacher in the VLE or sent by email. During this first meeting, the teacher will provide an overview of their course, and share what to expect in the SRLP.
For students who are unable to log in, the teacher will follow up with a phone call to assist with any technology needs or problem-solving.
Using the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
SRLP students’ courses will appear in the VLE but will not be accessible until the morning of Tuesday, September 6.
There are a few things you can do in the meantime to help get yourself ready for the first day:
VLE Orientation
This video will provide an overview of the VLE platform and help students get oriented with this tool.
How to log in to VLE
To access the VLE, students can go to https://wrdsb.elearningontario.ca and login with their WRDSB email address and password.
