STEM in a Globally Connected Classroom
January 31st, 2017
This blog post features the STEM in a Globally Connected Classroom delivered at the Digital Learning Symposium by elementary teacher Tania Bumstead. In this session, Tania shares her experiences in leveraging her personal learning network (PLN) through Twitter to create an international and collaborative learning opportunity for her students. This particular example centres around STEM, but could be adapted to other learning settings as well.
Tania has included some student presenters in the session who share their perspectives on STEM challenges and problem solving in an online environment using a variety of Google Apps tools including Blogger and Hangouts to support their learning.
As part of your reflective practice, consider developing or leveraging your PLN to create a unique collaborative learning opportunity for your students.
