The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking qualified Elementary Occasional Teacher applicants who provide evidence of meaningful experiences working with adolescents and/or youth. These experiences may include paid, volunteer, and practicum experience. Appointments will be effective upon receipt of OCT certification confirmation and required documentation from successful candidates.

If you are an existing Elementary Occasional Teacher with the WRDSB you DO NOT need to apply to this posting. Current WRDSB Secondary Occasional Teachers wishing to transfer to the Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster may apply, however if successful you will be removed from the WRDSB Secondary Occasional Teacher Roster.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must be available to commit to an entire school year of Occasional Teaching. It is preferred that candidates have the following qualifications: Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate. Candidates with only Intermediate qualification or Intermediate/Senior qualifications will be eligible to apply and interview for the position. If successful, these candidates will be offered a spot on the OT Roster after providing evidence of registration in a course to complete Junior divisional qualifications.
