Education Week (May 6-10) provides us with an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the incredible work that happens in our schools every day and all that public education offers to our students – each and every one.

We want to recognize the extraordinary work each of our educators, staff members and trustees do as we endeavour to provide every student with a welcoming and inclusive environment, but also the excellence in teaching and education we have come to expect. Of course, we also want to thank our families and our community for their unwavering support and trust. Every day you send your child to our schools, you’re entrusting us with helping to build their future – not a task we take lightly.

As we mark the 89th annual Education Week, we would ask that we take a moment to express our gratitude to those people in our system who contribute to student achievement, and who make a difference in our students’ lives every day.
