We are so excited to share that Bluevale Collegiate Institute grad, Chris Williams, took home the most prestigious movie award in Los Angeles Sunday night.

As a director, Williams won his first Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film with the film ‘”Big Hero 6,” but received his first Oscar nomination for the film “Bolt” in 2008.

After graduating from Bluevale CI, Williams went on to get a fine arts degree from the University of Waterloo and complete the classical animation program at Sheridan College. He was later then recruited by The Walt Disney Studios.
