Every year, Breslau PS participates in the Terry Fox run. Last year the school had a very successful campaign, raising $5000. The goal for this year was set at $5200, with the added incentive that Principal Frank Ewald and VP Sharlene McHolm would kiss a pig if the goal was met.
Students heard from Daisy-Mae Hamelinck, a special projects officer with the Terry Fox Foundation, who came into speak with them about the foundation, Terry’s story and her own struggle with cancer. Hearing Daisy-Mae speak inspired students more than ever to reach their fundraising goal.
