Each day, our teachers, educational assistants, and early childhood educators at Silverheights Public School work with students who have Autism. To help change the Autism stigma, a group of staff decided to celebrate the contributions that people with Autism make to our world and educate their students. In recognition of World Autism Awareness Day, and to make their students feel special, the school raised the Autism Ontario flag.

This dedicated Silverheights PS team worked very hard for weeks leading up to the special day creating Autism awareness t-shirts, bracelets, posters, and multiple displays in every corner of their school. The biggest effort came from the amazing contribution of staff and students completing a 700+ piece Autism puzzle wall showing what Autism meant to them.

What a tremendous effort by all!
