The Waterloo Region Assembly of Public School Councils (WRAPSC), in partnership with the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB), Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), are looking for parents/guardians of student(s) in grades 7-12 to be trained as safeTALK TRAINERS. Funding for this initiative has been provided by the Ministry of Education through a Parent Reaching Out grant.

The parent/guardian safeTALK trainers will provide 3-hour safeTALK workshops for other parents/guardians in the WRDSB community. Parents/guardians interested in getting more information on becoming safeTALK trainers are invited to attend an
information evening on November 10th, where we will provide more details about this opportunity and commitment.

Information Session will be held on November 10, 2015 at 7:00pm at the Education Centre – Cambridge Room. The Education Centre is located at 51 Ardelt Avenue in Kitchener.

Please RSVP to this event to Barbara Ward – 519-570-0003 x4558 or via email at barbara_ward@wrdsb.on.ca
