Hillcrest Public School is a small school with big hearts!

This year, Hillcrest PS celebrated its 10th anniversary participating in the Heart and Stroke Foundation‘s Jump Rope for Heart, and the support couldn’t have been greater! Before the long weekend, 325 staff and students took part in a variety of skipping and other physical activities, which promoted heart health and helped educate skippers on the importance of being active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

A fundraising goal of $4,000 was set, but the school’s final donation tally won’t be announced until the Heart and Stroke Foundation calculates the online contributions – donations for the school are still being accepted. That total will then be added to the approximate $80,000 Hillcrest PS has raised throughout the past 10 years for valuable heart and stroke research.

The Huskies had a wonderful time learning about being active and helping others – way to go, Hillcrest PS!
