We have many artistic and talented students in our system. In an effort to showcase those special students, and locate an annual signature piece for our “Artrium” at the Education Centre, we have sought submissions from our Secondary School Art Departments.

There are currently 8 pieces in the Artrium area at the Education Centre, which are being evaluated by an independent consultant. The selected artist’s work will be displayed prominently for a year in the Artrium.

We would also like to make a People’s Choice Award. There are ballots in the Artrium area at the Education Centre. We would encourage you to make your personal selection and enter your ballot if you visit the Education Centre during the period up to May 8, 2013.

The winners will be announced immediately prior to the Board meeting of Monday, May 13, 2013.
