Waterloo Region District School Board

Zach Ramelan and Torin Langen had much to celebrate on June 4th when it was announced that they won a silver medal at the 17^th National Skills Competition in the area of TV & Video Production.  Both Zach and Torin are grade 11 students at KCI.  They competed in the TV & Video Production Regional Skills Competition in grade 10 where they won the gold medal.  They went on to qualify for the Provincial competition that year; although they did not receive a medal, they placed 5^th among 21 competitors. 

This year, Zach and Torin came back and took gold in TV & Video Production at the Provincial level.  This won them a spot to compete at the National Skills Competition, which took place June 1^st – June 4^th in Quebec City, Quebec.   The Waterloo Region District School Board and The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) would like to congratulate Zach and Torin for placing 2^nd at the 2011 National Skills Competition.
