Two KCI Students Win Silver at National Skills
Zach Ramelan and Torin Langen had much to celebrate on June 4th when it was announced that they won a silver medal at the 17th National Skills Competition in the area of TV & Video Production. Both Zach and Torin are grade 11 students at KCI. They competed in the TV & Video Production Regional Skills Competition in grade 10 where they won the gold medal. They went on to qualify for the Provincial competition that year; although they did not receive a medal, they placed 5th among 21 competitors.
This year, Zach and Torin came back and took gold in TV & Video Production at the Provincial level. This won them a spot to compete at the National Skills Competition, which took place June 1st – June 4th in Quebec City, Quebec. The Waterloo Region District School Board and The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) would like to congratulate Zach and Torin for placing 2nd at the 2011 National Skills Competition. MORE...
