After many years of requests by the community, Empire Public School in Waterloo will finally receive $4.7M in upgrades to their gym and library, as well as five Full Day Kindergarten (FDK) classrooms in anticipation of FDK in September.

The construction begins in the next few weeks and is expected to be complete for September 2013. Other improvements are planned, including increasing parking areas to accommodate current and additional staff for FDK, site re-grading, storm water management, and planting almost double the number of existing trees to replace the 50-year old Norway Maples.
