2018 UPDATE: Our processes have changed. Please disregard the information below and visit our section on Communicating with Your School.

Help us communicate with you by email!

The results of the WRDSB Communication Survey for Parents/Guardians were overwhelmingly clear: you want to communicate with us through email. As we continue to go digital, we are excited to improve how we communicate with you and reduce our dependence on papers coming home.

On July 1, 2014, Canada will have a new anti-spam law in effect. This law requires us to have express consent from you before sending you any electronic messages containing commercial information. While much of our email communication with you is about school, school council or Board initiatives or activities, we may also include commercial information, such as notices about pizza days, spirit wear sales, field trips or other fundraising opportunities. We may send those messages directly or include them in electronic publications, such as Board or school newsletters.

What does this mean? It means we need your permission to send you email.

You will be receiving an email from the WRDSB in the next few days asking you to re-affirm that you are willing to receive electronic messages. Please take a moment to read the letter and make your choice. If you have any questions about the letter, please send an email to casl@wrdsb.on.ca or view our CASL FAQs.
