Update on Internet Content Filtering (Verbal Report)
Chief Information Officer Mark Carbone provided an update to Trustees on the internet content filtering used by the WRDSB.

The WRDSB, for many years, has taken a three-pronged approach to internet safety. This approach includes: content filtering, staff training, and a digital citizenship program.

Trustees were provided with information on how our current content filtering system works, the yearly audit process, and the self-reporting process that allows staff  to report any websites or content that may be inappropriate for the classroom.

Board Improvement Plan for Student Achievement Video
Director of Education John Bryant introduced the 2015-16 system video to Trustees. The new system video emphasises the student voice, and focuses on the system goal for the school year.
