We cannot believe it is the last day of school for our students – time sure does fly by when you’re having fun!

Looking back on the past school year, our staff, students, parents, volunteers, and so many others have made a huge impact, both locally and globally. We’ve turned our inspired learners, into tomorrow’s leaders. Through many fundraising initiatives, our school communities have put up new play structures, heard inspiring stories, received tremendous awards, and donated to causes such as Free the Children, Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, Mennonite Central Committee Canada, Terry Fox Foundation, United Way – Kitchener, Waterloo & Area, Canadian Cancer Society, etc. Without your support, we wouldn’t have made such an impact.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to wish all our Grade 12 graduates best wishes in your future endeavours – wherever that journey may take you. Don’t forget, you will now and forever be a WRDSB alumni and we’re so excited to see what an amazing impact you will have on the world around you.

Thank you to the parents, guardians, grandparents, care givers, bus drivers and community partners for an amazing year! Please know that your involvement has truly made a difference.

Best wishes to all our students changing grades and graduating to new schools, and to all the staff who are moving on to different schools. Good luck with your transition. You will be missed where you are leaving, and welcomed at your new location.

Congratulations to all the WRDSB staff who are retiring. In more ways than one, you have made a lasting impact in the lives of our students. You’ve worked hard for this – enjoy this next chapter in your life and please never be afraid to come back and say HI!

Lastly, but certainly not least, we want to wish all of our WRDSB students and staff a safe and amazing summer vacation! We cannot wait to see and hear the great things you’ll get to experience over your holidays. Remember, learning isn’t just for the classroom!

Don’t be afraid to share your summer adventures with us on Twitter using the hashtag #WRDSBSchoolsOut.
