Giving back is the theme at our International School of Serbian Language.

This month, Jelka Milivojevic and her grade 12 students organized a bake sale at Stanley Park Public School, raising approximately $820 for children in Kosovo.

Milivojevic reflected on the bake sale success and expressed her gratitude and appreciation of our community to reach out and help others, “the generosity will directly benefit the young children of Kosovo and their families.” The Serbian community understands and values the generosity of Canadians, in particular the people of Waterloo Region, because they help make a difference in the lives of children around the world.

Connecting and building positive communities within the WRDSB is what we’re all about.
