Students at Central Public School had the opportunity to try a sport that is ‘sweeping’ the nation.
Members of the Canadian Curling Association brought their Rocks & Rings program to Central PS which introduces the Olympic sport to elementary school students.
They learned about the history of curling, how it’s played, what equipment is used and how to work as a team. Once the program was completed, students received a Canadian Curling Association Rocks & Rings Graduation Certificate.
It’s safe to say there might be Central PS students on the Ontario or Canadian Olympic curling teams one day. Thank you to the Canadian Curling Association for providing this opportunity to our students!
