Julia Wilkinson, 2-time Olympic swimmer, dropped by Blair Road Public School on Friday and spoke to the grade 3s through 6s.

She shared many stories from the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympic Games she competed at, and the obstacles she overcame to achieve her dream of going to the Olympics. The important message Julia left the students with was: sometimes you have no control over the things that happen to you, but you can always control how you respond to those things.

It was a wonderful experience for the Blair Road Bandits – truly motivational and inspiring!
