For a second year, Country Hills Public School had the privilege of hosting a Family Science Night fully run by the University of Waterloo‘s Engineering Science Quest (ESQ). This program helps introduce youth to the worlds of engineering, science, and technology through a variety of engaging, hands-on activities.

Families braved the winter snow and enjoyed a fun evening of learning and creating. Country Hills PS parents and their children had the opportunity to build a Mars Lander, learn how environmental engineers clean up oil spills, create a Lava Lamp out household products, and make a hand out of cardboard, string and elastics to teach the biology of the muscles – to name a few!

Special thanks to the Ontario Ministry of Education Parents Reaching Out grant for making the evening possible.
