If a picture is worth a thousand words, then experiencing classrooms in a foreign country is worth immeasurably more.  That is what occurred for eight visiting Chinese scholars/educators on Friday October 24th, 2014, when this group visited Sir Jon A MacDonald Secondary School, and Laurelwood and Sunnyside Public Schools.

This group from China made up of university professors, doctoral students, school principals and classroom specialists came from, Xian, near the area of the ancient Chinese Dynasties, and Guangzhou, a thriving metropolis close to Hong Kong.  The day provided them with wonderful stories and fond memories of the schools they visited, as students were able to facilitate their learning in Mandarin and getting to see first-hand the diverse student population within the Waterloo Region District School Board.
