The Waterloo Region District School Board meetings are held on the last working Monday of each month. Special Board meetings are called as required. Committee of the Whole meetings are held on the second and third working Mondays of each month. If there is a holiday on a Monday, this schedule changes.

The Board welcomes visitors to its regular Board, and Committee of the Whole meetings. The Board values effective communications with the communities it serves, and encourages individuals and groups to appear as delegations to present their views to trustees.
Public input is needed to help the Board make decisions which reflect the needs and concerns of communities and students.
All Board and Committee of the Whole meetings are open to the public. Under the Education Act, in-camera meetings (closed to the public) are conducted to discuss matters of personnel, property, contract negotiations and litigation.
